The UK’s festival scene has a lot to offer. From eclectic line-ups to captivating and unique venues, it is safe to say that music fans are truly spoilt for choice. Having said that, it is also important to note the recent surge in independent festivals with a special dedication to up-and-coming talent, along with others that focus on more than just music. At Showcase Signs, we offer a wide variety of music festival signs, especially for upcoming festivals that are trying to grow into something big.
So, if you’re open to experiencing a unique, enriching festival atmosphere, then have a look at the following list of our most interesting festival picks for 2019:
This has got to be the UK’s leading independent festival when it comes to embracing new sounds and artists, which comes as no surprise. Given Liverpool’s renowned musical heritage, Sound City serves as an all-inclusive platform for established names, whilst also catering to the ever-growing stream of local, national and international emerging talents. During this unforgettable 3-day festival, you can expect to discover a wealth of new artists, ultimately adding a pinch of new flavour to your musical palette.
Whatever your taste in music, it’s a must that you pay tribute to jazz! Jazz by the Sea have been consistent in concocting the most captivating line-ups of jazz musicians by paying homage to some of the best names in the genre (James Taylor!), whilst also showcasing younger jazz talents. Putting it simply, if you’re a fan of jazz, don’t miss this festival!
This is unlike any other festival you’ve been to. Off the Record is Manchester’s very own multi-venue live music event and conference that takes place in the trendiest neighbourhood in the city, the Northern Quarter. Above all, they embrace the essence of celebrating all kinds of new music, all the while allowing you to experience the stylish district of the city by bouncing between the variety of venues and getting a taste for new sounds. In addition to this, the music conference features key speakers from different labels in a charming effort to inspire those starting out in the music industry.
What’s most interesting about this festival, is that it doesn’t focus on any particular style of music. Rather, the site is designed and put together in a way that appeals to all festival lovers. Tucked away in the pretty Larmer Tree Gardens, which initially served as pleasure grounds for “public enlightenment and entertainment”, the End of the Road festival encapsulates the energy of this woodland wonderland with whimsically charming art installations and decorated spaces. This festival is a gem hidden in the deep forest, with a wide range of food and drink and a sharp musical edge.
Last, but certainly not least, is the illusively surreal Lost Village Festival, hidden in the serene scapes of Lincolnshire woodland. Amidst the old cabins and dilapidated buildings, you will experience an enveloping barrage of abstract realism, exemplified by the festivals very own storyline. The Lost Village has a unique narrative, and as the story unfolds, you will be left with only the best stories to tell those who missed out on this incredible event. This festival also includes a variety of well-known musical acts, along with a diverse range of global food, art, comedy, and talks.
HOWEVER, navigating through the woods isn’t an easy task. And so, The Lost Village gave our team at Showcase Signs the pleasure of designing some bespoke directional signage to help you meander through the trunks and branches, along with some other designs for the different areas within the festival.
